I think my migraines have shifted
Before starting T (testosterone), if I woke up feeling how I did this morning, I’d have been bedridden all day. Today? I just shrugged, made breakfast, and told myself I’d roll with it.
I woke up feeling… off. Not just tired-off, but “something’s wrong with my body” off. My head wasn’t pounding yet, but my stomach felt weird and unsettled in a way I can’t explain. Normally this would be the opening act for a migraine, but it didn’t feel quite the same.
I gave myself permission to rest. No guilt, no pushing through. I just curled up with some Sims and some relaxing YouTube art videos.
By the afternoon I had a light, throbby headache. Could’ve been screen time, could’ve been a migraine brewing. I popped two paracetamol and an antihistamine and… it just stopped dead within half an hour. Stomach weirdness gone, headache gone, back to feeling fine and planning on what I’m gonna add to my sketchbook next.
Since starting T, I think I’ve only had two potential migraines in 150 days. Both times, paracetamol + antihistamine just wiped them out before they became capital-M Migraines.
So yeah, something’s shifted for sure. I don’t know if they’ve turned into “stomach migraines” or just been completely dialled down in intensity, but I’m gonna start tracking them properly cause I’m kinda curious to see.
Old me would’ve lost a full day. New me just takes a slight pause.
