just a soft kinda day ☁️ | slice of life
I woke up today at my usual time. Just me, the quiet, and my stomach already thinking about breakfast.
I ate while reading, which is honestly the best way to start the day in my opinion. My iPad open on my latest book in one hand, spoon in the other, pretending I live in a contemporary cottage somewhere far away from capitalism.
I went to work. Did the thing. And came home.
I made it back about 1:00pm and promptly flopped down at desk and played Sims for like two hours in my forever world save. My sim did his usual routine taking his dog a walk, showering, putting a load of washing on and then plodding downstairs to open up his coffee shop for the day. He served the regulars and even hired a new girl to help out, then chilled upstairs in his apartment doing some programming and listening to music. I really love how that little world’s coming together. It feels like a safe place and one that I might actually stick with this time as I rotate between households and their envolving, intertwining stories.
I suddenly realised the time and got a short workout in. Just deadlifts today. I didn’t have the brain for a full leg day but I still moved, and that’s enough. It still counts!
I showered and very quickly had lunch: some protein yogurt, oats, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, a lil honey. Tastes like effort but still easy.
Then I pretty much spent the rest of the afternoon and evening sketching on my iPad, laying out the bones of my first proper zine. Not perfect, not finished, but it’s happening, and that’s kinda wild in itself.
